Bouquet Bag
She’s finally here! The bouquet bag is here to help you not just transport your flowers, but to do so while looking chic, and to help reduce the need for a bouquet wrapped in paper or plastic. Sustainable, beautiful, and practical. What more could you ask for?
This is a small batch run of 30 bouquet bags produced by Lessons Research right here in the heart of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK.
This product is made from natural fibres, including an ecru cotton outer and olive waxed cotton lining. The waxed cotton linen will act as a barrier between you, your stems and your clothing, also creating a bit of waterproofing for the bouquet bag.
The bag was designed by Roisin Taylor of Verde Flower Co.
The bag was produced locally by Jacob at Lessons Research in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
The adjustable strap can be tied at any length to allow for crossbody, over the shoulder or hand held variation for maximum usability.
We listened to your ideas and each bag now has small loops at the bottom of the bouquet bag through which you can tie ribbons or string to enable the bouquet bag to hold a jar for water so that your stems can stay fresher for longer if you are out and about. Having tested the bag without water with an enormous variety of flowers from Verde Flower Co, I can confidently say the bouquets will survive out of water for a reasonable amount of time, they can then have their ends snipped and put in some cool fresh water.
*Please note, the photos with the contrast stitching are from the first sample, and do not represent the current small batch. The first 5 photos are the current design.

About the producer of The Bouquet Bag:
Lessons combines expertise in 3D design with fashion and textile craftsmanship to produce limited batches of handmade products. Each object is created with a focus on quality and detail, embracing a hyperlocal, DIY approach.
By merging disparate disciplines Lessons presents a distinctive, research-focussed design sensibility that centres issues of consumerism and waste through innovative use of found & upcycled materials.
Lessons imagines objects that exist outside the realms of typical commercial culture, instead preferring to focus on an iterative approach of small-run design experimentations across 3D products, homeware and fashion.
